Meet Aurora

Education

Aurora earned a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Emerson College in Boston, MA.  She is currently completing a clinical Doctorate through MGH Institute of Health Professions and will graduate in May 2026 with her SLP-D.  She holds a certificate of clinical competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Aurora has completed extensive continuing education related to Augmentative Alternative Communication, Gestalt Language Processing, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

Specialization

Aurora specializes in Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) and has an extensive personal and professional background working with medically complex children. Aurora has supported over 100 families in obtaining insurance-funded communication devices, and her passion for AAC is fueled by a desire to support all individuals in accessing a comfortable, effective, and efficient communication system. She has seen children with complex profiles be underestimated in their abilities and has set out to teach others how to presume competence, even if the communication modality isn't "traditional."  Aurora is committed to staying knowledgeable with evolving technology and thinking outside of the box to best meet the needs of children with communication difficulties.
